Pietermaritzburg resident, Poobandran Moodley (right), is the proud winner of the nifty Kia Picanto which was up for grabs in Golden Horse Casino’s Tri Fecta Draw held at the action-packed 2014 Golden Horse Sprint Race Day on Saturday the 24th of May. His was one of thousands of entries received for the competition. Entries could be submitted three different ways, with somepeople using all three channels to submit theirs and maximize their chances of winning.
In the end, it was Moodley whose ticket was called and he was immediately handed the keys to his new car by Maureen Kivits (left), the Operations Director and Complex General Manager at Golden Horse Casino.
The Golden Horse Sprint Race Day event was characterized by over R2.5-million worth of prizes being won on the day. In addition to the car, there was over R100 000 worth of cash and prizes won in the Fashion Design Competition, and stake money of R2-million in the main horseracing events.
Thousands of people flocked to the race day to enjoy thrilling racing, spectacular live entertainment and the fashion design competition. The event is hosted annually by Golden Horse in conjunction with Gold Circle Racing. This year Kia came onboard as a sponsor.
